U.S. Elite Camps Day 7 Review

Today was our first day of slalom (second day on slalom skis)! Breakfast was amazing, as always. (Thanks Blaine) In the morning once we got to the top of Hood, we started by warming up with slide turns, then one skiing. Throughout the day we did many runs of one skiing on and off the courses. Our courses started with a picket fence (many brushes in a straight line). The next courses were brushies and stubbies next to each other for a progression. Doing these courses on one ski was challenging but everybody improved eventually. On the panel slalom course everybody was working on transitioning from GS to SL. By the time we got off the hill everybody was tired from one skiing we utilized rest hour (kind of). After rest hour we did a hike to the bottom of Hood and made some human pyramids, or tried, we then hiked back and made lunches. For dinner we had chicken and broccoli, along with some amazing sauces. Then we watched video and now we’re here.
