Today was a great day. Right when we stepped outside, we knew it would be better than the previous day. It was already about 35 degrees out which was almost 10 degrees warmer than yesterday’s high. With the short lift lines, we loaded the lifts quickly and were ready for warm-up runs. We worked on the drills that we had been doing for the past two days, which were pivot slips, side-slips, and one-ski skiing. After warm-ups we were ready to shred the courses. We had nine courses set, which was equivalent to 110 turns/run on two of the best lanes. (Lane 3 and Secret Squirrel). Most groups got in 8 good runs on beautiful snow and in very well-salted courses. The warm weather of 50 degrees really improved our mood. None of us wanted to leave the mountain after our best day of skiing for a lot of our athletes. After skiing, we had the opportunity to tune skis, play tennis, or rock climb. Many of us chose to play tennis. We had a wonderful dinner of tacos, and met some cool new kids (army dude, Xander, and Miguel). We then met a new camper that arrived today named Duncan. We had our usual meeting and were back in our rooms at 7:30 for a well deserved rest. Thank you for reading this.
