Today was our second and final rest day. We woke up at two thirty (AM) this morning to say farewell to our newfound friends and session 1 cabin mates. After saying our goodbyes, we rushed back to bed to sleep for another 5 hours. Once again we woke up, ate our way through breakfast and spent the next few hours bonding, playing cards, and tuning skis. At 11 o’clock we gathered our belongings, piled into the vans, and were off to Hood River! The four of us participated in a refreshing hour long yoga class. While the class was occurring, the rest of the campers explored downtown Hood River. At one-thirty we gathered at the vans and headed for the beach! After a windy start, we plunged into the frigid yet rejuvenating water, while some played field games and relaxed. We returned to the vans and continued experiencing Hood River. After a short half-hour, we finally started the journey back to Cooper Spur Resort with fresh pizza in the trunk. After munching our way through six boxes of Pietro’s pizza during the nightly camp meeting, we relaxed in our cabins and headed to bed for a calming evening in Oregon. Even thought we lost many of beloved session one friends, today was well appreciated and in other words “the perfect rest day”.
Hugs and Kisses,
